Mercedes-Benz discontinues V12 roadsters ahead of new SL debut

It's been a while since we heard of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. This could be because the current model dates back to 2003, in a facelift, as we know it today, already in 2008. But now we have good news and there is a mixture of good and evil.

The bad news: Word is, the decision of the twelve-cylinder Mercedes-version of the SL. The SL600 is the first to eliminate, and now it seems that the SL65 AMG is the ax as well. There is no word yet on whether that includes hardcore, solid roof SL65 AMG Black Series.

The good news is that the phase of the V12 roadster could be the impending arrival of the next generation of the SL signal. It is expected to show up next year as a 2013 model year and will come as good news for buyers, as the current SL model has more than anything that lived in the area of Mercedes-Benz side of the SUV.
