The first model 2012 Buick LaCrosse then rolled the line in June, but a reminder of the new National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are these cars back to the dealer from whom they came to have. NHTSA, 2012 LaCrosse models that this "does not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no. 126" for the electronic stability control. The recall adds:
StabiliTrak is out of calibration, the system can not properly detect when a sensor was missing, and the warning light indicating that the system does not light up, not, as required by the safety standard.
If an ESC malfunction of the sensor, it could cause the system falsely activated, which is to sudden changes in LaCrosse a vehicle dynamics. This could lead to a loss of driver control and ultimately a crash.
The recall is expected to start later this month, where the Buick dealer to reprogram brake control electronics for free.
