Chrysler recalls 300,000 minivans for airbags that could spontaneously deploy
Chrysler announced that it is recalling minivans to 299 178 to a potentially dangerous lack of CVC. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, some 2008 Chrysler Grand Voyager, Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan models have air conditioning, condensation to escape to the control module of the restraint system. This can cause the airbag light to illuminate and may eventually lead to the accidental use of supplemental restraint system. The vehicles in question were between 24 June 2007 and 30 Made in July 2008 and NHTSA has warned that an accidental airbag could cause injury to the occupants or to a serious accident.
